DJI Phantom 4 Pro

DJI is a company known for producing some of the best drones on the market. Over the years, their drones have introduced new features model by model, and different series such as the Phantom, Air, and Mavic have varied specs depending on their function.

The DJI quad Phantom 4 pro was released in 2016, following the Phantom 4 in the same year. The Phantom 4 Pro has a larger 1 inch CMOS sensor than other drones at the time, which were 1/2.3-inch class sensors. A mechanical shutter and aperture control were also included with the Phantom 4. The drone is also equipped with the OcuSync video transmission technology that allows the device’s range to stretch further.

The Phantom 4 records video from approximately 4.3 miles if optimal conditions. Other handy features in the drone include point of interest mode, Waypoints, Follow me mode, Terrain follow, Tripod mode, and Active track abilities. The drone also contains the new omnidirectional sense and avoids the system continuously scanning its environment to avoid obstacles. Unlike its predecessor, the Phantom 4 Pro packs a “return to home” where it retraces its steps to return to the point of origin.
